MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in healthcare strategy and innovation, with a focus on rural healthcare settings.
- Experience working in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Specialized expertise in areas such as telehealth, mental and behavioral health, chronic care management, etc.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis, program evaluation, and performance improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in project management, strategic planning, and implementation of healthcare initiatives.
Knowledge of healthcare policy, regulatory requirements, and best practices in rural healthcare delivery. - Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and drive initiatives to achieve measurable outcomes in population health improvement.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Must be service oriented.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Clinical Specialist will work closely with our strategic planning team to assist rural healthcare organizations in developing and implementing healthcare programs based on clinical expertise and evidence-based best practices. Specific duties include:
1. Strategic Planning and Solution Development:
- Collaborate with healthcare facility teams to assess current clinical practices and identify areas for improvement.
- Utilize healthcare data systems to analyze trends, evaluate performance metrics, and identify opportunities for quality improvement.
- Develop innovative solutions and strategies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of services and better meet community needs.
- Support the implementation of new protocols, guidelines, and technologies aimed at improving patient outcomes and care delivery.
- Foster strong relationships with healthcare facility teams, including physicians, nurses, administrators, and support staff.
- In collaboration with RHRC compliance team, ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines related to implemented practices.
- Leveraging RHRC’s online portal, monitor implementation of strategic and clinical plans on behalf of healthcare organizations, offering accountability and coaching as needed.
2. Education and Resource Development:
- Develop educational materials, resources, tools, and content for online modules tailored to the needs of rural healthcare providers.
- Ensure educational content is evidence-based and aligns with regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions – including workshops and presentations — for hospital leaders, clinicians, ancillary staff, and other healthcare organizations in rural areas.
- Utilize adult learning principles to deliver engaging and effective education.
- Provide mentorship and support to participants to enhance their learning experience.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Track and report on training outcomes and participant progress.
3. General
- Attend standing project-related meetings as needed.
- Attend other key meetings related to the RHRC as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
