The Financial Liaison for Alternative Payment will support provider operationalization of global budget frameworks across the RHRC programs, understanding methodology development and its implications on rural healthcare providers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have a bachelor’s degree, or associate degree with equivalent experience, in accounting.
- Have a minimum of 7 years of experience in hospital finance and operations, preferably in leadership positions and/or in a rural setting.
- Experience working with 3rd party contracts including payer contracting agreements.
- Have familiarity with Global Budgeting concepts within health care, with direct experience highly preferred.
- Have demonstrated data management skills and experience preparing detailed financial analysis.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Be self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Be innovative and willing to embrace change.
- Be team and service oriented.
- Be highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Be available full-time and have reliable internet.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Global Budget Facilitation
- Establishes a complete understanding of the global budget methodologies as developed
- Assists with the development of new concepts as may be relevant to the RHRC scope of services within its programs and engagements.
- Serves as the initial point of contact within the RHRC for operational needs of providers and technical assistance partners involved in global budgeting frameworks.
- Attend and represent the RHRC team on all provider calls specific to global budget frameworks.
- Serves as the primary facilitator of communication between the RHRC and client hospitals, payers and other healthcare providers regarding methodology and financial reports associated with the alternative payment framework. Assists with agenda and facilitation for relevant meetings.
- Serves as a liaison between providers, payers and technical support vendors to assist with resolution of technical questions specific to global budget calculations and operational issues
- Works with technical partners to refine communication and tools for clients.
2. Data Management
- Provides oversight to the overall data exchange needs within the alternative payment frameworks.
- Serves as a liaison between the hospitals and the data partners to ensure that hospitals receive appropriate technical support and needs are met
- Coordinates with interdisciplinary teams to develop standards, common reusable data infrastructure building blocks, and usable tools that facilitate collaborative discovery and sharing of value-added datasets
- Frames business scenarios that are meaningful and which impact critical business processes and/or decisions within an alternative payment framework.
- Identifies what data is available and relevant, including internal and external data sources, leveraging new data collection processes
3. Meeting Attendance
- Attends standing meetings with RHRC team and relevant stakeholders.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
