RHRC provides no-cost support to rural healthcare organizations across the Appalachian region through two federally funded programs.

These programs are designed to help providers strengthen operations, improve services, and plan for long-term sustainability, without the burden of additional cost.

Appalachian Region Healthcare Technical Assistance Center

Rural regions across all 13 states within the federally designated Appalachian Region.

Must be a healthcare organization located in the Appalachian Region and designated as rural according to HRSA’s eligibility analyzer

Semi-annual application process

This program is funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and is free of cost to participants.

Appalachian Region Initiative for Stronger Economies

 Focused on strengthening healthcare across 66 counties within:

  • Appalachian Pennsylvania
  • Appalachian New York

66 Appalachian-designated counties in Pennsylvania and New York.

Must be a healthcare organization located in the Appalachian Region of New York and Pennsylvania.
